Install - CUE DIVES

Note: Note: CUE DIVES represent multiple components. The install steps are to be executed only once for all the components. Note: The Office version is to be 64-bit to make sure that EIKON components (on which CUE DIVES are based) run smoothly. Note: If you have not installed Metastock Xenith (Thomson Reuters EIKON) yet, please follow the instructions sent to you by Metastock and install that on the computer before proceeding with the following steps.

While using CUE DIVES, the aim is to focus on the visual insights of the color-coded charts without being distracted by the tooltips and values popping up as you hover your cursor above the charts.

That tooltip and values display is controlled by Microsoft Excel options or settings. And you can easily make them disappear as I have done on my computer.

The below steps worked on Microsoft Excel 365 (as of the 4th of July 2022).

From the Excel menu bar, go to File->Options -> Advanced -> Chart.

Then uncheck the two options shown in the attached snapshot.

That is all. The tooltip and values will now stop appearing on the CUE DIVES charts.

The below steps will ensure that you see only the CUE components of the latest release.

1) Search your computer and delete all instances of CUE DIVES components. They are on a single folder where they were installed earlier. The files will have names like:

CUE Diary.XLSM

CUE Vital.XLSM

CUE Edge.XLSM

Setting refresh frequency for Xenith/EIKON-based systems to save network bandwidth and computer processing power. CUE DIVES systems, which are based on Metastock Xenith, require significant bandwidth in the streaming mode as they constantly update thousands and thousands of data points. To reduce bandwidth and processing power needs, you may set Xenith (EIKON) update frequency as described in this forum topic, if not already done so. 1. Open Refinitiv EIKON - Microsoft Excel from Microsoft Windows program list, taskbar, or from start items.

2) Go to the "Refinitiv Eikon" menu on the Microsoft Excel menu bar and (3) click on Settings. Note that you need to be logged into Eikon (the green color "Online" status will show up to the left of the "Settings" text.

4) Click on Data Retrieval.

The below resolution was given by the MetaStock support team to one of the CUE traders who faced the issue. I am posting it here in case other CUE traders face similar issues in the future.

Note that some of the folders on your computer may be hidden by default. You may need to unhide the folders if you don't see them.

First, make sure MetaStock, Xenith/EIKON, and Excel are closed. Then follow the steps below.
