Install - CUE Elite

The desktop and workspaces in the CUE Elite download files are for learning the chart temples, scans, radars, etc.

For actual trading, I organize the workspaces into multiple desktops, each for a different trading activity. I usually open only the desktops I need or use.

Below are the desktops and workspaces in them. Note that a Startup workspace is included in all the desktops as the first workspace.

CUE Analyze - I use this desktop to analyze a stock. It is usually always running on my computer.

At A Glance - with the weekly Backdrop and daily Entry charts.

Chart - I use hotkeys on this workspace to apply other CUE chart templates, like Pivot chart, Stop, etc.

TradeStation custom lists are used for two different purposes in CUE Elite. One is to use them in radar real-time analysis/trade setup finding. The other is to use them in end-of-day (after market close) scans using scans.

You can set up the custom lists provided for CUE Elite using the following steps.

1. Close TradeStation.

2. Go to the below folder on your computer (the user name has to be replaced by the user name for your computer):

C:\Users\<user name>\Documents\TradeStation 10.0

3. Rename the CustomSymbolLists folder as CustomSymbolListsOLD (this is to save a backup).

Note: If you had installed CUE Elite earlier and would like to clean up the system before installing a newer version of CUE Elite, then you may follow the steps in this topic: Removing older components before installing a new version of CUE Elite.

The following steps will remove the components of the older version of CUE Elite. You may follow these steps before installing the latest release of CUE Elite so that only the latest CUE Elite components are available for use.

Note: <Documents> folder is the folder where your Tradestation 10.0 is installed. This should have a folder with the name Tradestation 10.0 once this version of TradeStation is properly installed.

1) Delete the old CUE Custom Symbol Lists from the folder <Documents>\Tradestation 10.0\CustomSymbolLists. These start with the prefix "CUE" or have "Superior Profit" in the name.

2) Delete the old CUE Desktops from the folder <Documents>\Tradestation 10.0\Desktops. These start with prefix "CUE".

3) Delete the old CUE Scans from the folder <Documents>\Tradestation 10.0\Scans\_root. These start with prefix "CUE".

4) Delete the old CUE Chart Templates from the folder <Documents>\Tradestation 10.0\Templates\Charting. These start with prefix "CUE".
