How to cleanup MetaStock and TradeStation data files for optimal efficiency.
CUE Global & Finder runs on MetaStock, and CUE Elite runs on TradeStation. Both are for technical analysis and scanning.
It is a good practice to regularly clean up the TradeStation and MetaStock data files for optimal efficiency.
I have set up a recurring once-in-a-month item on my computer's calendar to remind me of the cleanup.
The below simple steps will do the necessary cleanup on the latest version of TradeStation and MetaStock as of the 4th of July, 2022.
1. For Tradestation 10.0: Delete the entire "Cache" Folder from:
C:\Users\<user folder>\Documents\TradeStation 10.0\CAL
Note: replace <user folder> with your computer's user name.
2. For Metastock 18: Choose File->Delete Smart Charts from the menu.
