Which market ETF to use if you wanted to short the market?
$IWM $DIA
I may slightly favor $IWM if I am thinking of finding a more lucrative opportunity.
That choice may seem unusual for many. Indeed, it has no #CUE short setup as of now. Not on the daily timeframe.
I am watching it. Why? This is the only market ETF with Jump/Thrust extreme level. That and the Bango I showed in this tweet together make a case for shorting $IWM with proper setup (either wait for daily short setup or use Precise Entry intraday template). My choice of instrument will be bearish verticals options trade. That way, I don't have to apply a stop and won't get whipsawed.
$DIA could also be an attractive choice. It is the only market ETF with bearish daily Traffic candle color. And it is reversing from daily and weekly Memory trendline resistances. It is at the upper edge of a triangle pattern.
Final selection between $IWM and $DIA may be a personal choice.
